Offer Description

Position of an assistant professor at the Faculty of Information and Technology Sciences. The area of scientific research is related to technical computer science and telecommunications, teaching classes in the field of computer science, and classes in the field of computer science for first and second cycle studies.

Skills/Qualifications

1. Meeting the requirements specified in the Act of July 20, 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, as amended).
2. Knowledge of Polish and English languages sufficient to enable conducting teaching classes.
3. At least a PhD in engineering and technical sciences in the discipline of technical computer science and telecommunications.
4. At least 5 years of teaching experience.
5. Significant scientific achievements in the discipline of technical computer science and telecommunications or completed domestic or foreign scientific internships of at least one year.

Specific Requirements

1. Experience in preparing and implementing research and implementation projects.
2. Practical experience gained outside higher education.
3. Teaching experience in broadly understood subjects in computer science, including: database systems, database design, database protection, database techniques, database applications, and/or related ones.

2. History of previous employment (including information on scientific, teaching, organizational, and practical achievements, professional achievements obtained outside higher education)
3. Questionnaire for a person applying for employment containing the information referred to in Art. 22 1 § 1 of the Act of June 26, 1974 Labor Code (i.e., Journal of Laws of 2018, item 917, as amended)
4. Copies of documents confirming education and professional qualifications
5. Copies of other documents confirming that the candidate meets the competition requirements
6. A declaration by the candidate stating that in the event of full-time employment, the University of Łomża  will be the primary place of work
7. A declaration of consent to the processing of personal data contained in a cover letter, CV, or other attached documents - if this data includes special categories of data referred to in Art. 9 section 1 GDPR or if the data is other than that included in the personal questionnaire and is made available on the applicant's own initiative (Article 22 1a § 1 and § 3 and Art. 22 1b § 1 of the Labor Code)
8. Consenting to the processing of personal data for the purpose of using them in subsequent recruitment processes - if there is a wish to participate in subsequent recruitment processes conducted by the University of Łomża for a period of 12 months from the end of the current recruitment process.
