Nov 29, 2025 at 10:32 PM

26th International Conference on Computational Science29 June - 1 July 2026 • DESY • Hamburg • GermanyLink: https://www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2026/The International Conference on Computational Science is an annual conference that brings together researchers and scientists from mathematics and computer science as basic computing disciplines, as well as from other various application areas, who are pioneering computational methods in sciences such as physics, chemistry, life sciences, and engineering, as well as in arts and humanitarian fields, to discuss problems and solutions in the area, identify new issues, and shape future directions for research.ICCS 2026 in Hamburg, Germany will be the twenty-sixth edition in this series of highly successful conferences.Authors are invited to submit manuscripts reporting original, unpublished research and recent developments in Computational Sciences. All accepted papers will be included in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series and indexed by Scopus, EI Engineering Index, Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (included in ISI Web of Science), and several other indexing services. The papers will contain linked references, XML versions and citable DOI numbers.ICCS 2026 invites original contributions on all topics related to Computational Science, including, but not limited to:Scientific ComputingProblem Solving EnvironmentsAdvanced Numerical AlgorithmsMixed-precision Modelling AlgorithmsNew Algorithmic Approaches to Computational Kernels and ApplicationsWeb- and Grid-based Simulation and ComputingParallel and Distributed ComputingAdvanced Computing Architectures and New Programming ModelsExtreme-Scale Data Management and I/O in Computational Science ApplicationsComplex Systems: Modeling and SimulationComplex Networks Models and High Performance simulationsSystem Dynamics ModelsArtificial Intelligence in Scientific ComputingModelling Approaches using Unconventional ComputingMassive Agent Based modelsUncertainty QuantificationApproaches for Automated Simulation DevelopmentHybrid Computational MethodsApplications of Computation as a Scientific ParadigmVisualization and Virtual Reality as Applied to Computational ScienceComputational PhysicsLarge Scale Scientific InstrumentsQuantum ComputingMedical and Biomedical Computational ScienceComputational HumanitiesComputational SociologyComputational Models of Cognition and BehaviorStrategic Behavior Modeling and Market DesignEducation in Computational ScienceAs the conference theme this year is “At the Forefront of Science through Computation and Data”, papers highlighting the role of Computational Science in assisting multidisciplinary research will be particularly welcome.Important DatesWorkshop proposals: 9 January 2026Paper submission: 23 January 2026Notification to authors: 23 March 2026Camera-ready papers: 10 April 2026Author registration: 23 March – 10 April 2026Non-author registration (in-person only): 23 March – 1 June 2026Conference sessions: 29 June – 1 July 2026

NWO Talent Programme Vidi Science 2024

Sep 27, 2024 at 12:03 AM

The Dutch Research Council (NWO)The aim of the NWO Talent Programme is to provide creative space for adventurous, talented, pioneering researchers to do research of their choice, develop their own line of research and further develop their talent. Please read the detailed information from this link. https://www.nwo.nl/en/calls/nwo-talent-programme-vidi-science-2024When to apply? The deadline for submitting preproposals is 5 november 2024, before 14:00:00 CET.The deadline for submitting full proposals is 8 april 2025, before 14:00:00 CEST.Budget: €31,450,000 The Vidi grant, part of the NWO Talent Programme, supports researchers transitioning into leadership roles. It is awarded to those with exceptional academic achievements and leadership potential. The grant funds innovative research and provides opportunities for researchers to establish or expand their own research groups. Applications from disciplines such as Earth Sciences, Astronomy, Chemistry, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Physics, and Mathematics will be submitted to the Science domain.Who can apply?Applications can be submitted by candidates who have obtained their PhD, irrespective of whetherthey hold tenured positions and of whether they come from the Netherlands or abroad. Candidatesmay only submit an application if they have obtained their PhD in the eight years preceding thebenchmark date of this round, 1 October 2024. An extension to the above career-dependent submission period may be possible under specific circumstances What apply for?A maximum of € 850,000 can be applied for within this Call for proposals. The maximum duration of the proposed project is five years. If the proposed research is of shorter duration, the maximum amount will be reduced accordingly. Only request the amount that is required to execute the project.
