2025 The 9th International Conference on Green Energy and Applications

Jan 6, 2025 at 1:20 AM

Call for PapersVenue: SingaporeImportant DatesSubmission Deadline: January 20, 2025Notification Deadline: February 10, 2025Registration Deadline: February 20, 2025Link: https://www.icgea.org/index.htmlSubmitted papers will be reviewed by Technical Program Committee and sub-reviewers. All accepted (Registered & Presented) papers of ICGEA 2025 will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore, indexed by EI Compendex & Scopus, etc. Energy is inarguably one of the most pressing global issues faced by humanity in this century, and a reliable and sustainable energy system is crucial to achieve a more sustainable future. The world's energy consumption is expected to nearly double by 2050, with most of the growth happened in countries outside of the OECD. Sustainable development requires consistent access to clean, affordable energy to support economic activity, improve national development, and improve human wellbeing. In addition, there is a strong link between the energy sector and global climate change due to the impact of CO2 arising from burning the fossil fuels. Study shows that carbon emissions hit the peak in 2018, mainly from the carbon-rich fossil fuels that generated nearly 85% of the world’s energy. Taking the above-mentioned as a backdrop, energy is certainly a complex technology involving multidisciplinary research, development, demonstration and deployment in energy systems, grid systems and applications, especially in the energy transition era.In anticipation, the combination of rising populations and living standards of human society in the next 50 years will demand for the development of massively scaled sustainable energy and low-carbon electricity generation solutions with an objective of battling the climate change. These challenges, albeit an unparalleled threat to the business-as-usual, also represent a remarkable opportunity for research, innovation, and green growth. With the success of the previous 8 year, ICGEA came to its 9th edition in 2025. It is proud to announce that 2025 The 9th International Conference on Green Energy and Applications will be held during March 7-9, 2025 in Singapore, which is sponsored by Singapore Institute of Electronics. The theme of ICGEA 2025 is to bridge and connect presenters and audience with different disciplines and background as well as from different geographical locations. The most interesting and disruptive technology often happened at edges and boundaries of different disciplines, and so the aim of the conference is to bring these brains together to synthesize the ideas and knowledge from different sources to achieve the energy innovation.ICGEA 2025 scope covers, but not limited to, the following topics:• Advance biofuel for a sustainable heavy-duty transport and aviation• Bioenergy supply management strategies• Biofuels in developing economies• Biomass• Carbon and Methane capture, storage and utilization• Electric Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution• Energy and Health• Energy and Water• Energy efficiency in building designs and management• Energy in food production and processing• Energy storage and cyber security for smart grids• FACTS and HVDC controllers• Geothermal energy• Green Buildings and Infrastructures• Green energy and energy access• Green energy and social benefits• Green Energy Education and Training• Green Energy in Transport• Green Industrial Technology• Green Policies and Programmes• Green Power• Greening the Fossil Fuels• Greening Urbanization and Urban Settlements• Hybrid vehicles and its integration• Hydropower• Income generation with green energy• Increasing energy access with clean resources• Integration of renewable energy sources in buildings• Low carbon city scenarios, plans and actions• Mainstreaming low-carbon innovations• MDGs and Green Energy• Microgrid and active distribution network management• National bioenergy programmes: economic, political and social issues• Natural gas research and development• Power system economics, operation and control• Protection, reliability, and restructuring of power systems• Rapid urbanization and energy-environmental implications• Regulatory policies and program for implementation and control• Renewable Energy for Power and Heat• Role and future of electric vehicles in smart grids• Rural Development through Green Energy• Settlement forms and functions and energy• Smart Grid and Renewable Energy Integration• Solar thermal and photovoltaics• Sustainable coal use and clean coal technologies• Sustainable materials for buildings• Transformation of power grids to smart grids• Wind energy

ARI's scientific activities are multidisciplinary and with a very strong approach to basic and translational research, focused on clinical applications and realized through a cooperation network with many industrial partners. ARI has a vast experience in managing and supervising research projects with a portfolio of international (H2020, Horizon Europe) and national (SNSF) competitive projects. In addition, ARI is at the forefront of high-quality international conferences, such as EORS 2010, TERMIS 2017, ESB 2023, and the next EORS 2025. ARI's commitment in fulfilling the highest standards in research is demonstrated by international standard accreditations. The entire ARI is certified according to ISO 9001:2015. The accreditation includes ARI's preclinical facility, which can perform GLP-like studies. Additionally, the Biomechanical Services and Concept Development are certified as medical device manufacturer according to ISO 13485:2016. Also, ARI's preclinical facility fulfils the highest standard of care for animals (AAALAC accreditation).ARI comprises of 3 Research Programmes:Regenerative Orthopaedics (RO) is a multidisciplinary team focusing on a holistic approach to tissue engineering for repair and regeneration of the musculoskeletal system. RO Program has established research activities in the field of bone, cartilage, and intervertebral disc, with a major focus on regenerative medicine, 3D printing, cell and gene therapy and fracture-related infections. The RO comprises of 5 focus areas: Disc & Cartilage Biology area has tissue-specific bioreactors, namely for intervertebral disc and articular joints, that are instrumental for in vitro testing and for investigating the effect of mechano-regulation on cell behaviour.Bone Biology area aims to study the cellular mechanisms involved in the different phases of bone healing and their interplay for a better understanding and further monitoring of the process.Biomedical Materials area develops responsive materials for orthopaedic regeneration with a strong expertise on biopolymers and nanocomposites. Additive manufacturing technologies are used for both basic understanding of biomaterials and cells interaction, and for translational research in the orthopaedic field.Progenitor Biology & Mechanoregulation area investigates the role of multiple stimuli, such as mechanical stimulation, growth factors and gene therapy in the progression of stem cell differentiation.Infection Biology area performs research into clinically relevant preclinical models of fracture related infection including both in vitro and in vivo models, which are used to investigate novel anti-infective interventions such as implant coatings, novel antimicrobials and provide improved understanding of host-pathogen interactions.Sound Guided Tissue Regeneration activities are articulated around the translation of innovative biofabrication technologies for the repair of musculoskeletal disorders and development of cutting-edge 3D in vitro models for drug screening and personalized medicine. The team use sound wave-based approach and other external fields (e.g. light, magnetic, electric) for contactless cell assembly and stimulation. ARI supported the startup Mimix Biotherapeutics which launched the first acoustic bioprinter in 2021. Biomedical Development (BD) offers extensive know-how, expertise, and experience in the fields of biomechanical testing and computational analyses to advance patient care.Preclinical Service (PCF) offers strong expertise and applies animal models to answer questions from academic researchers, clinicians and industrial partners to improve fracture fixation devices, investigate new (bio)-materials and technologies as well as and surgical procedures.
